One of my favorite authors, DuQuette brings us this new, fun book about divination using pocket change, popsicle sticks and even your TV remote.
No more spending money on psychics or spending hours trying to decipher your geomancy reading. If you don't know your Caput from your Cauda Draconis, then this book is for you.
Even the book itself is an Oracle. Just flip through the book at random and you will find along the edges a little fortune-cookie like phrase, with Duquette's own quirky sense of humor mixed in.
I flipped through the book twice and got "Flip twice more and pick the answer you like best" followed by "You knew the job was dangerous when you took it".
The book its self is a small square, 200 pages long, and does include traditional forms of divination to a degree, such as I-ching and the Tarot, although immensely simplified.
Although this book gently pokes fun at divination as a whole, it is also sincere about the divination techniques it teaches and it can serve as a useful tool to understand the fundamentals of all forms of divination.
All in all, a great, light hearted, useful book that would make a wonderful birthday present for someone interested in divination to any degree.
