From the author of White Spells comes a new book on 'white magic for love and friendship, school and home.'

This slender volume contains over 90 simple spells for the budding Teen Witch, covering subjects including 'Being A Trendsetter (By carrying violet leaves and white rose petals in a pink drawstring bag')', 'Passing Exams' (carry citrine and rosemary) and 'Snagging that Hot Babe'. This last is generally designed for teenage boys, one would think, which is confusing because the book is very 'girlie' in appearance and writing style, and the Hot Babe spell, although simple requires slightly more culinary skill than adding boiling water to Ramen Noodles, which is pretty much the limit of most adolescent males (and quite few older males, too!).

That aside, I'm sure that this book will be enjoyed by it's audience. The spells are generally simple, straightforward and quick - qualities that are essential for a generation that has the attention span of a hummingbird.

Personally I found the book a little to cutesy and sugary, but don't let the opinion of an old fogey like me sway you. The spells do follow the Wiccan Rede and will surely work if the intent is true.
