The Hag is the crone aspect of the triple goddess in the Faery tradition. She represents the Spirit of Night, the Earth in Winter. Like her partner the Winter King, she is more androgynous than her summer counterpart. She is described as an old woman in a black hooded cloak with pure white hair and white skin. Crowned with nine blue stars, she carries a silver sickle. She is also called Anna or Annys, and the Queen of the Dead. She is the spirit of night and the Earth sleeping during the dark winter months. Her realm is the realm of the dead. (Hag)
